Founded in 2019 by highly experienced and passionate engineer Jarrad Kircher, Green Aspect Consulting has just gone from strength to strength since it’s launch. Working with some of the top engineering companies in the country, as well as State Government Railways, Green Aspect truly are the leaders in their field.

Since it’s conception, the Green Aspect Consulting team has grown to 4 extremely passionate individuals who helm both the functional and administration sides of the business.

Jarrad Kircher

Signalling Commissioning Manager /
Senior Signal Engineer

Managing Director

Managing Director, Founder and Senior Signal Engineer, Jarrad Kircher is the brains and the leadership of Green Aspect Consulting. His job, while vast, is to manage large infrastructure projects in the Rail Systems space for a large array of companies and organisations. He is exceptionally skilled at developing and managing Signal Testing Works on site for large companies, as well as undertaking concept design for future projects. When he is not developing large scale projects, he is reviewing other existing projects and providing independent review and certification. With his vast skills and expertise, he is incredibly passionate about the industry, and thrives on a challenge.

At home, Jarrad spends his weekends with his beautiful family (wife Aleashia and four children), exploring their beautiful surrounds, working on his incredible garden and renovating.

Fun Fact : Jarrad once met Keanu Reeves onset of the Matrix II while they filmed a train station scene at Everleigh. They had to disconnect the existing rails on the Sydney Train Network as the train they bought to Australia from New York was incompatible with our systems.


Aleashia Kircher

Principle Environmental Manager
Director


Aleashia is an Environmental Manager for Green Aspect Consulting. She has 10 years’ experience working as an environmental professional, and has expertise in rail infrastructure, major road infrastructure, subdivisions, and mining. These roles have involved ensuring environment management, regulatory approvals and permits, and community engagement.

Aleashia has experience in all stages of project delivery, from planning, through to construction and operation. Her experience has predominantly been gained working in multidisciplinary teams on civil infrastructure projects. In the course of her work, she is driven to provide excellence in stakeholder consultation, working with clients, government departments, regulators and the community to deliver mutually beneficial project outcomes.
Before joining Green Aspect Consulting, Aleashia fulfilled various contract rail and road environment roles with TfNSW (formally RMS), Sydney Trains and ARTC, as well as projects for numerous private stakeholders.


Fun Fact :
When Aleashia isn't in her garden with her daughter potting around or playing and cuddling the family pets, she loves to knit.

Thomas Spooner

Manager - Small Projects

Signal Engineer

Signal Engineer Thomas joined the Green Aspect Team in 2020. His role is to undertake Signalling projects from conception to commissioning, providing project documentation for each stage, as well as working and learning under Jarrad’s experience. His job also leads him to project sites for pre-test signalling projects to assist with commissioning test works. Thomas is extremely driven and friendly, and the perfect addition to the Green Aspect team.

Fun Fact :
Thomas invested $1 into Bitcoin before it became what it is today, sure it was a complete scam. Now his $1 is worth a whopping $52,000!


Jarod Van Lier

Signal Support Manager

Signal Project Engineer

Jarod Joined the Green Aspect team at the commencement of 2022, after working previously as a signal electrician specialising in maintenance and fault response.

In the 8 years working within the Fly in Fly out rail industry at BHP, Jarod progressed to Team Leader and on to Signals Maintenance Supervisor, where he honed his skills and utilised the time and support to further progress in studies of maintenance analysis, management, and rail network Safeworking within the BHP team.

Due to recent border closures, Jarod made the decision to remain on the East coast with his loving family and recommence works within Signalling construction and Project Delivery as a Project Engineer, bringing with him the experience and professionalism gained from managing teams and signalling asset availability.

Wanting to further pursue his goals of education and knowledge of Signal Engineering Jarod has commenced his Graduate Diploma of rail signalling in January 2022 to further his understanding of the industry and support the Green Aspect Team.

Jarod Spends his down time with his loving wife Sara and 2 young Children, Florence and Byron enjoying traveling and spending countless hours upgrading their new family home.


Fun fact:  After the near 8 years of Fly in Fly out Jarod had amassed nearly 2 million frequent flyer points, he cashed them in to enjoy First class return flights for his wife and himself to a close mates wedding in London. (Now a distant memory he usually floats back to while his 2 loving kids are screaming the house down)

Peter O'Reilly

Signal Electrician / Assistant Signal Engineer

Peter O’Reilly joined Green Aspect Consulting team in 2022. Peter has 10+ Years in the Railway Signalling Industry starting off as a Signal Electrical Installer and Assistant Tester and then progressing to a Signal Electrician.

Peter holds Sydney Trains, ARTC and CRN Signal Electrician Statement of Competencies and has experience on numerous Signalling Projects, Signal Support and Signals Test & Commissioning.


Fun Fact: Peter raced Formula 1 Race boats which can reach speeds over 200km/h and produce 6G’s when turning.

Doug Byrne

Graduate Signal Engineer

Doug joined Green Aspect Consulting as a Graduate at the start of 2022. After graduating university with a degree in mechatronic engineering he worked with several start-ups building autonomous lawn mowers. Towards the end of 2021 he grew tired of being known as ‘the lawn mower guy’ and decided to change career paths towards railway signalling. Since starting with Green Aspect Consulting, he’s been assisting and learning from the experienced team in various aspects of railway signalling and project management.


Outside of work Doug enjoys hanging with mates, surfing and snowboarding.


Fun fact: Travelled around Western Canada for a little over 2 and a half years. Half pre-covid, half during.


Renee Goodwin

Office Manager

Green Aspect Consulting welcomed the lovely Renee to the Administration team in 2021 as the Office Manager. Our behind-the-scenes tasks have never been more organised thanks to her efficiency. Her role covers all general office duties, including accounts and administration tasks. She is immersing herself in the world of Signalling and is loving learning all the new skills that come with it.


Fun Fact : Being a mum to her beautiful daughter is her greatest achievement.

Tammy Polson

Commercial Manager

Tammy has been a staple of Green Aspect Consulting since its inception. As the administration manager, she oversees the administrative operations of the business, and ensures behind the scenes runs smoothly and efficiently.

Fun Fact :
In her spare time, Tammy loves to make patchwork quilts and sing (you’ll have to forgive her singing the wrong words, but she loves to do it anyway!)
